The Network has a secret.

21 June 2010 One Comment

In Fall of 1999 we launched the “Next Skateboards” Brand and Woodshop.

While the european skateboard industry was still in it’s infancy, we pioneered and contributed actively to the establishment and general idea of the european skateboard companies we know of today. After a three-year phase of research, reverse-engineering and building international interest the distribution network were set and preorder started pouring in. The volume of interest in the brand and OEM offerings called for rapid growth and expansion.

After moving into an industrial location and redesigning things were set for the international launch and while production runs started, problems with the financial backing and a botched takeover attempt by a distribution partner, things went sour.

We pulled out with our businessplans, team and manufacturing know-how in 2003 and froze them for a undefinded time, updating things yearly to prepare for a eventual relaunch..

A lot has changed in the industry since then, distribution and manufacturing, exchange rates, promotion and marketing formats and of course skateboarding and skateboarders. We moved on to become engineers and designers, but individually kept the plans alive for a future reunion, updating things when needed or improvements developed.

It’s 2010 now.

Once we consider all of these changes and weight them against the past efforts’ enviroment we come to the conclusion that the time is right. And better than ever. While there are no immediate plans in execution things are set and opportunities plenty. you all know how it’s done. or not.

yup. the network has a secret.
